UMCOR Coffee Project
As you enjoy delicious fairly traded coffee, chocolate, and tea, you join the United Methodist Committee on Relief and Equal Exchange in creating a more just and green food system. By purchasing these products you help farmers stay on their land, care for the environment, support their families and plan for the future. With the added income from Fair Trade, farmers invest in education and social services for their communities. In addition, for every pound of Equal Exchange products you purchase, 15 cents is donated to UMCOR for sustainable agriculture trainings around the world through its Sustainable Agriculture & Development Program (UMCOR Advance #982188). A small portion of each purchase will also help to fund Messiah UMC’s mission.
About Equal Exchange
Equal Exchange us a worker-owned Fair Trade company founded in 1986. They are building equitable trade relationships with co-ops of small-scale farmers, while also working to reform as increasingly consolidated and unjust food system. They are proud to offer fairly traded and organic coffees, teas, and chocolates from small-scale farmers all over the world.
